I was recently joined by to discover more about learning, unlearning and experiential learning. Being that experiential learning is the 9th direction of my self-aware leadership compass, this was a really good opportunity to discover more. Here are the core concepts from my blog article. Unlearning to Relearn: Effective learning starts by unlearning outdated beliefs and creating space for new, empowering ideas with a growth mindset.
Experiential Learning for Self-Awareness: Learning by doing is essential, helping people apply knowledge in practical ways and build their self-awareness.
Self-Awareness as a Growth Foundation: Self-awareness is key to questioning beliefs, confronting blind spots and fostering adaptability for growth.
Prioritising Practice Over Theory: Progress comes from hands-on practice rather than passive learning, turning knowledge into real skills.
Enhanced Focus for Learning: Strategies like the 80/20 rule, time-blocking, and focus apps (e.g., pomodoro timers) support focus and productivity.
